Mel Boutilier and Dr. Mahmood Naqvi named to the order of Canada
Two Nova Scotians have been named to the Order Of Canada today. Mel Boutilier is the volunteer Executive Director at the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank in Halifax. He is being honoured for his voluntary service and leadership in the city. Dr. Mahmood Naqvi is being recognized for his contributions to health care in Cape Breton. Among other achievements, he was instrumental in opening the Cape Breton Cancer Centre.Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will preside over the Order of Canada investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall this afternoon.
