Tim Horton’s Camp Day
Today is Tim Horton’s Camp Day. Camp Day is the one day a year when Tim Horton’s store owners across Canada and the United States donate every penny from coffee sales to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. The Foundation will help send more than 14,000 kids to summer camp who could otherwise not afford to go. Due to the volume of coffee sales Tim Horton’s experiences on this day, they recruit local volunteers to help in their fundraising effort. I was pleased to assist a local Tim Horton’s in Glace Bay along with our Liberal candidate, Geoff MacLellan. Dartmouth East MLA Andrew Younger took part at his local Tim’s in Dartmouth and is pictured above. Zach Churchill, our Liberal Candidate for Yarmouth, will be doing his part later today.In 2009, Camp Day raised more than $9.4 million.
