Spryfield and District Business Commission
I recently had the privilege of addressing the Spryfield and District Business Commission at their networking luncheon. Founded in the 1950’s as a volunteer organization, the commission has been uniting the businesses of the Spryfield area for decades. The Commission now has a service agreement with Halifax Regional Municipality which created a "Business Improvement District" for Spryfield, leaving the Commission with funding and, most importantly, staff to manage the organization's affairs and activities. Small businesses are the backbone of the Nova Scotia economy and they employ more than half of all Nova Scotians. Organizations like the Spryfield and District Business Commission provide support to these businesses throughout our province and work to strengthen our province as a whole. Back
