Responding to the Speech From The Throne
On Monday I was asked to respond to the Speech From The Throne. It gave me an off the cuff chance to respond to some of the claims made by the NDP. To demand they show their initiatives have actually worked and made a positive difference in people's lives before trumpeting their success. They haven't done it because they don't have the data to do it. A Speech From The Throne is a time for a government to hit the reset button when their legislative agenda is done. The NDP just didn't like how things were going and they hope you'll forget the first session and let them start again. That's not how government works.
